BodyRecomp ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application, website (bodyrecomp.io), and related services (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, name, and password (hashed).
Health and Fitness Data: Body measurements (weight, height, body fat percentage), workout logs, nutrition data, and body composition metrics that you voluntarily enter into the Service.
Usage Data: Device type, operating system, app version, feature usage, and crash reports to improve the Service.
Payment Information: Subscription purchases are processed by RevenueCat and Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and improve the Service
- Calculate and display your fitness metrics (FFMI, TDEE, body composition)
- Send you push notifications about your goals (if enabled)
- Process subscription payments
- Respond to support requests
- Analyze aggregate usage to improve features
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers (cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics) under data processing agreements
- Law enforcement when required by law or to protect rights and safety
- Acquiring entities in the event of a merger or acquisition, with notice to you
4. Health Data
Health and fitness data you enter is used solely to provide the Service features you request. We do not share individual health data with third parties for advertising or research without explicit consent.
If you connect to Apple Health or Google Fit, data is synced according to the permissions you grant through those platforms' privacy controls.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting or using the in-app account deletion option. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days.support@bodyrecomp.io.
6. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest), JWT authentication with short-lived tokens, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact .support@bodyrecomp.io.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
